Panama City,Panama-Thousands of Worked went on strike for the Panama Canal expansion project. The workers are demanding a raise from the $2.90 per hour they are making now. 
 five percent of the world’s yearly trade foes through the Panama Canal, which is currently undergoing a US$5.25 billion expansion to allow the world’s largest vessels to safely navigate the 102-mile waterway. The Panama Canal is scheduled to be completed in 2014
